The Murder
Anna Politkovskaya was murdered on October 7, 2006. Five years later, the people responsible for the act have yet to be brought to justice. The film "A Bitter Taste of Freedom" will be released for television in time for the five year anniversary of the murder.

She is known as "A Woman with a Film Camera", having shot most of her films herself. A Bitter Taste of Freedom is based on video shot by Marina from 1990 to 2005.
