A Bitter Taste of Freedom - the portrait of one of the most admired women of our time. Russian film maker Marina Goldovskaya had Anna Politkovskaya as a student in the 1980s. Anna appeared in a film called "A Taste of Freedom" (1991). Marina continued to film her until 2005. A Bitter Taste of Freedom is launched 5 years after her death.

The Cuban Missile Crisis played out in the month of October 1962. Never before or after has mankind been so close to destroying Planet Earth. A nuclear war was averted at the last minute and the two Cold War superpowers came to an agreement that saved Cuba from total annihilation.
